The next International Anglican Liturgical Consultation will take place at Ming Hua Seminary, Hong Kong, on 22-25 January 2019.
The theme of this consultation is Liturgical Formation. There is a need throughout the Anglican Communion to find ways to assist both clergy and laity to appreciate the key role that liturgy has in shaping Anglican identity, beliefs, and ethos. We may begin to ask what it is that God asks of us as worshipers, and then see how patterns of prayer shape our Christian life in community. All of these belong to the urgent task of liturgical formation, especially in our seminaries and training courses. What kind of syllabus would best assist us so that our ministers are both informed about and formed by our worship? These are some of the challenges we seek to address in the sharing of wisdom and theological expertise at our Consultation.
Please continue watching both here and on the IALC Facebook group for more updates as information becomes available.
Hope to see you in Hong Kong!
